the forestry farm/zoo

My sister had her last days of work last week. We got to go see her denuded classroom where Dominique had fun playing and Ivan acted terrified. Then we enjoyed a picnic and afternoon at the forestry farm/zoo. The kids enjoyed watching a clown/magician and feeding the deer. We've spotted a couple of deer out in the wild. If we stayed up at night, we may be able to watch them graze on mom's flower garden 10 feet from our bedroom window. In fact, Brian, dad and Ivan have kept busy putting up a 6 foot fence around the flower garden. It's a shame because it's so pretty all wide open, but there won't be any left if the deer have their way. The garden, which is huge and full of beautiful plants, also has a very tall fence around it to deter the graceful grazers. The guys have also been putting together a mini windmill that will be used as an air pump for mom and dad's pond. Ivan has been enjoying doing all these projects with the guys. He is a really good help.

It was fun having you here; I'm so glad that you came even if the time was short.
