A new star is born!

Dominique lights up your screen with her new moves, brought to you by cheap entertainment. "have kids? we will video and photograph at nauseum." Welcome to the digital era.

Questions: did your family take lots of pictures? did your family have a video camera or machine? did you make home-made videos or plays? do you put pictures in an album or box? I'll answer in comments.

My family took tons and tons of pictures and put them in albums. I do the same. We had a video camera and made many home versions of fairy tales. We also made our own plays and thought we were thoroughly amusing. Our funniest videos were when dad tried to do serious interviews and my brother and cousin later tried to copy him. Kids are so much more imaginative and real on camera.

My parents shot f0otage of me with some 8mm film reels. It has no audio.

They were lousy photographers...;)

But I love watching 8mm movies. The silence is sureal.

Uhm, well, my first 5 years I grew up the GDR, so there were mostly black and white pictures. They didn't take as much as of my brother and I am still angry about that. A bit at least. But mom put them in an album and boxes, it's fun to look at through them.

We got a video camera later, I was mybe 10 oder 12. I can't really remember and need to ask dad. The most videos are vacation or at family meetings but me and my brother never made a play, we were mostly all over the town instead.

Some of all of the above though the photos got less frewquent with each succeeding child.
I remember Dad using the 8mm but after I was about 10 I mostly used it to try to do claymation etc.

Andrea - you should talk to Jenn. She is a part time advocate for the overlooked middle (or 2nd) child. She takes cases like yours and fights for your rights.

Haha Brian! (Seriously Andrea if you, or any other child out there needs to discuss this matter let me know). Yes, Dad-particularly-took many photos. I share that love now too. Someone once asked Mom, after seeing a play I directed where this love of theatre started. Mom remembered that we were always doing plays and performing. I'm grateful that we had an audience with our parents.
