Life of the party

We had a fun time this past weekend. Thursday night we went to a graduation party for a friend. We knew a few people from our old school days and early times in Abilene, so that was fun to catch up. Then we went to Myka's birthday party which coincided with her grandpa's birthday who is also our friend. It was good to be with people we hadn't seen in a while, eat good food, hang out and also discover more of our son's personality.

With both groups, Ivan acted real shy upon arrival, but as the evening wore on, he lit up. He would find toys and play with them or if there were no toys, make some from various household items, which created a new game- mommy catch the child before the child breaks/wrecks/offends someone or something depending on the case. He had a blast, as we did, and ended up providing much entertainment along with Myka at her party.

Love the cowboy hats...of course! Looks like Harrison may have some serious competition out there! Any plans for Ivan to ride a sheep any time soon?! Harrison is still talking about his "next ride"....beware of that cowboy fever!!!

gms- the party was at Myka's grandpa's house out of town. He cooked up 4 flavors of chicken. Ivan ate about 6 little legs and a wing! I've got more pics coming, one with Dominique, but unfortunately Myka's sister wasn't able to be there as she is still in the NICU at the hospital.

Netts- I've never even been to a rodeo, but the West Texas Fair and Rodeo is next month. Maybe we'll go. We'll for sure go see the animals and petting zoo. I like going there, even watching the llamas go through their tests in the ring! I'm weird.

Lovely pictures, cowboy hats are so cut. My dad has one, not a real one but similar. One thing I don't like, pink ones.

Oh and by the way, today I got an email that I was allocated a room at the dorms of the University of Ulster. Great news for me.
