We will always love you- Gordon

Time looms cruelly
When tragedy hits
It slows tortuously
Then continues on, unmercilessly.

When all I want is
to wallow in the pain
Of it all.

As an anniversary comes around again.
The pain courses through renewed.
And yet different.

Somehow,
The passage of time
Dulls the intensity
Softens the harshness
Brings some measure of healing.

We will always miss you
Gordon Hector Wallace.

But mine is a selfish missing.
How could I want you here,
When you are before the Lover of our souls
In His presence
Gazing upon His beautiful face
Wrapped in His arms
Tickled with His joy
In the delight of it all.

May your laughter from heaven
Reach our ears here below
For we are both filled with sadness
And yet happy and at peace
For you in your great living
In the great beyond.

Today you would have turned one year old
In the temporal home we call earth.
We will always love you.
We will always miss you.
We will always wonder about the what-could-have-beens.

But you are not constrained to the cruelty of time.
You have not tasted the bitterness of disappointment,
Or hurt, or pain, or cruelty, or the evil of this world.
So in that we can truly rejoice for you
And be glad, and be at peace.

Happy Birthday-
We are so glad you came.
Enjoy the view.
We'll be together some day.

That is a wonderful poem. You should get Brian to write a score to go with it and make it into a song.
