The non-balloon festival

Every year Abilene has a hot air balloon festival. We were all excited about it knowing that Ivan would be totally blown away by these huge balloons. Unfortunately, it was too windy for them to take off. Of course, this meant nothing to Ivan. He was overjoyed with the oversized air filled "kites", by a kite demonstration (Brian's favorite part- it was really amazing- these guys had walky-talkies and did formations, drove to tournaments...), animals in the petting zoo, making his own kite, a tae-kwan do demonstration (I was really impressed with it, but Ivan didn't like the yelling parts) and Ivan's most favorite part of all the giant air castles. Most were too advanced for him, but this one was just his size. It had tunnels and aired up obstacles, stairs, slide... He was so thrilled. And the nice ticket lady was letting the kids go through twice.

I wish we had those things when we were kids. That would have been so much fun!
