They are easier to detect after the fact. They are uncanny encounters, brushes with the supernatural, where the presence of the Lover accompanies us in a very real way, sheltering, directing, loving, moving, giving life to our everyday existence. You can't totally explain the experience, but you leave shaken to the very depths, knowing that you have been kissed by the Divine.

Canadiana
We enjoyed Canada day. Our smallest was a little feverish (I think she's teething), but the party must go on- we just kept her half naked- which is a bummer because she has a shirt that matches her shoes and the shirt says: not only am I cute, I'm Canadian too. I did put some face paint on them that just looked like a smear after an hour or so. It was very hot. We had some friends over and barbecued. It was beautiful except very hot (already said that didn't I?) and the neighbor had someone mow the lawn while we were sitting along the fence visiting- just a little noisy!
There were several kids and they all got horribly filthy in the sand box. Those are such great fun and keeps them all entertained, but dirty, dirty!
We are looking forward to July 4th too. We were invited to 3 parties, but will only be able to make 2 (there are only so many hours in the day and you can't be in two places at the same time- ok, sometimes moms can be, but that's because we have super powers).
When we got married, Brian threw me a surprise Canada day party and declared that we would celebrate July 1st through the 4th! Yeehaw!
Hope you enjoy our game of peek-a-boo even half as much as Dominique did!
