Ivan is all about family since we saw so many over the holidays. He's constantly talking about Grandma Ruth this and Nanna that. Nanna is coming for a visit shortly and Ivan's made a chant: Nanna next week! (with wild cheering). Today he's been on his play phone with her verifying her visit: "Nanna, next week?" he says over and over.
Here's a video for grandpa Ray. We told Ivan the card says "ray" and this is what he came up with:
And dad this picture is for you. It looks like you were right about needing a chair for each kid. Ivan is constantly putting his chair beside her's and saying whose chair is whose and wanting to rock together. Even with the stain colors being different, the removable pegs are almost indistinguishable. They are sized differently and along the edges you can see more red in hers, but both sides have a dark and a light tone that is very similar!

I gave some birch plywood to your Uncle Archie (to replace the wood that he used on the first two rocking chairs) when I went hunting with him last November. Yesterday he brought me two more rocking chairs to finish so that I won't have to do a rush job for the next time I need one! BTW the blizzard closed off the entrance to the quinzy. I'll have to dig it out to see how much snow blew into the interior. Love y'all.
Gosh, I love Ivan...he is hilarious with his words. Soooo cute. Is he missing "Amy"?
It was nice to catch up on your blog...i haven't been here in a while and i see youve been posting alot!
the engagement video was very cool. i wish we had our engagement on video or pictures...that was 11 years ago!!! wow
did you make it out to the funeral? i was wondering.
your kids are absoulutly adorable. Jenn came over for a visit the day beofre the big storm. it was super nice. i am using your mom's gate to keep my toddler out of the "school room" (which is actually our kitchen :))
take care ang. nice to stay connected. the internet is an amazing thing.
That video brought tears to my eyes. "Papa Ray Sun" certainly wishes that there were a way to just run over and visit much more often than time and distance allow.
The camera chat is good but a nice warm hug is impossible.
You'll have to do that for us.
Thanks for reinforcing family in so many ways.
No pressure huh dad? Well I'm glad you have plenty of supplies. I'm sure you will have some little bottoms to fill the spots before you know it!
Yes, Andrea- Ivan totally misses his "Amy", he has conversations with you regularly.
Sarah- didn't make it to the funeral, glad you got to see Jenn. Yes, in many ways we have made important connections through the internet, both of old and new friends. I love it!
gms- hugs delivered and some sloppy kisses too:)
