Have a happy Mother's Day!

Being a full-time mother is one of the highest salaried jobs... since the payment is pure love. ~Mildred B. Vermont

You don't really understand human nature unless you know why a child on a merry-go-round will wave at his parents every time around - and why his parents will always wave back. ~William D. Tammeus

Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body. ~Elizabeth Stone

There was something eerily awesome about giving birth to my first, with mom in the room, realizing that this was the same day 31 years before that she had given birth to me, her first. It was like we could zoom back in time and relive the beauty of the moment, of this woman who had traveled with me my whole lifetime, given of her heart, time, love and work to me over and over and seen me to this moment of multiplying the love out all over again.

I always had the sense that we were what mom treasured most in life-- that security and steadfast love shaped me into who I am today. Thank you mom- I love you!

Hmmm...well, when I was in Oklahoma my parents visited me. We were invited to a couple I got to know from church, who lived 20 years in Germany and loved me much. We had lunch at their house and talked and all that (great for my mom because they spoke German). Anyway, that lady from church praised me so much that my mother started to cry, eg. she wsvery proud of me. That made me proud, that I could show her that I get around and behave like she taught (even when it's half around the globe).

When I was younger I didn't get along too well with mom. I'm a bit stubborn, so is my mom and when it came to things like clothes we faught about what to wear. I didn't like skirts and dresses but she wanted me to wear them.

Since I was in 11th grade we started to get along, and after being back from the States we are very close. I guess it's the distance and my growing up that brought us togther.

Happy Mother's Day to one of the greatest Moms I know! Your kids are blessed to have you as their Mommy, and one day they will tell you that they feel the same way about you as you do about your Mom!

One of my best moments with my Mom was when I called her in tears, completely humbled by the experience of being a Mom and apologized for all the things I had done to hurt her, not knowing how much she loved me, until now. I am so thankful she is still alive for me to give back to her, now that I know what a hard job motherhood really is, and what it truely means to love like a mother. It's truely awesome isn't it?!
